Are you fed up with meaningless gobbledygook? Words that mean little or nothing? Empty phrases? Vague writing that confuses rather than communicates?

Now is your chance to fight back against bureaucratese, legalese, technobabble, government-speak and other assaults on the English language.

The Second Online Gobbledygook, Gibberish and Jargon Awards(TM)

These awards will be given to the writers and organizations that produce the best of the worst Gobbledygook:

  • Meaningless phrases
  • Vague generalities
  • Convoluted sentence structure
  • Wordy, unintelligible jargon.

Nominate your favorite gobbledygook examples now. Review the criteria here.

The submissions will be judged by people who have distinguished themselves by their commitment to good English.

It is hoped that this award will inspire organizations to look at how they communicate and possibly even improve their writing.

Maybe we can stamp out ─ or at least reduce ─ the amount of gobbledygook in the world.

We can dream, can't we?
